Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Littleover, Sunny Hill, Normanton and surrounding DE23 area in Derby. Roles include full-time, part-time and flexible working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with immediate November starts.

You will support pupils one-to-one or in groups, assist teachers with activities, and help maintain a positive learning environment. DBS checks and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Confidence supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
• Good communication skills and a patient, professional approach.
• Reliable and flexible attitude.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and school environments.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Help pupils stay engaged and focused on learning.
• Support positive behaviour within the classroom.
• Work with pupils needing additional learning or behavioural support.
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
