Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant for a school in the Northampton area. Immediate starts are available to support a pupil with special educational needs, working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.

You will deliver personalised support, help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom, and assist with social, emotional, and academic development. DBS clearance is required or to be arranged.

Qualifications

• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience supporting a pupil with SEN in small groups or 1:1 settings is desirable
• Calm, caring and consistent approach with strong communication skills
• A passion for inclusive education and helping a child thrive

Responsibilities

• Deliver focused support to a student with SEN during lessons and daily activities
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning strategies
• Foster a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
• Support social, emotional and academic development of the pupil
• Celebrate progress and milestones with the pupil
