Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) in Manchester to assess accident-damaged vehicles and prepare accurate repair estimates in line with manufacturer guidelines.

The role is full-time and permanent with a salary of £45,000–£55,000 per annum, Monday to Friday, plus ongoing training and clear career progression within a busy, established bodyshop.

Qualifications

• IMI qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment / Estimating.
• Proven experience as a VDA / Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and assess the extent of damage
• Produce accurate repair estimates and identify required parts and labour
• Determine appropriate repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams throughout the repair process
• Monitor repairs and update estimates where additional damage is identified
• Ensure estimates and repair plans are completed accurately and efficiently
• Work closely with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians
• Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and industry standards
• Maintain accurate records and repair documentation
• Support the smooth and efficient running of the bodyshop

About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Manchester, and they are currently looking for an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their growing team.

This role will involve assessing accident-damaged vehicles, identifying the repairs required and producing accurate estimates to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to the correct industry standards.
