Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) for a busy bodyshop in Gloucester. You will inspect accident-damaged vehicles, produce accurate repair estimates and liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams to ensure repairs meet industry standards.

The role offers £42,000 - £45,000 per annum, Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent with ongoing training and development in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• IMI qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment / Estimating.
• Proven experience as a VDA / Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair processes.
• Experience assessing accident-damaged vehicles.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and assess the extent of damage.
• Produce accurate repair estimates and identify required parts and labour.
• Determine appropriate repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams throughout the repair process.
• Monitor repairs and update estimates if additional damage is found.
• Ensure estimates and repair plans are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians.
• Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records and repair documentation.
• Support the smooth running of the bodyshop.

About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Gloucester, and they are currently looking for an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their growing team.

This role will involve assessing accident-damaged vehicles, identifying the repairs required and producing accurate estimates to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to the correct industry standards.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
