Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join a busy bodyshop in Gloucester. The VDA will assess accident-damaged vehicles, prepare detailed repair estimates, and coordinate with customers and insurers to ensure work is completed safely and to industry standards.

The role is full-time and permanent, with Monday to Friday hours, offering a competitive salary and ongoing training for career development within a professional environment.

Qualifications

• IMI qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment / Estimating.
• Proven experience as a VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair processes.
• Experience assessing accident-damaged vehicles.
• Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and assess the extent of damage.
• Produce accurate repair estimates and identify all required parts and labour.
• Determine the most appropriate repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams throughout the repair process.
• Monitor repairs and update estimates where additional damage is identified.
• Ensure estimates and repair plans are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Work closely with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians.
• Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records and repair documentation.
