Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join a busy bodyshop in Manchester. You will assess accident-damaged vehicles, produce accurate estimates, and ensure repairs meet industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair processes.
• Experience assessing accident-damaged vehicles.
• Excellent understanding of repair methods, parts and labour requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• IMI qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment / Estimating.

Responsibilities

• Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and assess the extent of damage.
• Produce accurate repair estimates and identify required parts and labour.
• Determine appropriate repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams throughout the repair process.
• Monitor repairs and update estimates where additional damage is identified.
• Ensure estimates and repair plans are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Work closely with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians.
• Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records and repair documentation.

About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Manchester, and they are currently looking for an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their growing team.

This role will involve assessing accident-damaged vehicles, identifying the repairs required and producing accurate estimates to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to the correct industry standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified VDA looking for a competitive salary of up to £55,000, long-term stability and the opportunity to develop their career within a professional bodyshop environment.

Key Responsibilities
