Description

Join our journey to create a new experience for the National Lottery and help us to power change for the greater good.

About Us

We are Allwyn UK, part of the Allwyn Entertainment Group – a multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence in Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Cyprus, and Italy. In the UK, we are the operator of the National Lottery with a 10-year license starting from February 2024.

We’ve developed ground-breaking technologies, built player protection frameworks, and have a proven track record of making lotteries better. Our aim is to create one of the UK’s most inclusive organisations – where people can bring the best of themselves to do their best work, every day, for the benefit of good causes.

While the main contribution of the National Lottery to society is through the funds to good causes, at Allwyn we prioritize our purpose and values in everything we do. Join us as we embark on a once-in-a-lifetime, large-scale transformation journey to build a bigger, better, and safer National Lottery that delivers more money to good causes.

  • Create a centralized, accessible accounting policies library for finance colleagues.
  • Act as the technical expert for all IFRS accounting queries.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leaders on policies, changes, and their financial impacts.
  • Support the commercial team by tracking and reporting the impacts of policy or estimate changes.
  • Oversee the production of accounting memos, provide technical guidance, and liaise with auditors.
  • Offer analysis and operational reporting recommendations to Allwyn.
  • Ensure a strong control environment and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Lead the preparation of annual Financial Statements under IFRS.

  • Ensure timely and clear communication of policy or estimate changes, with effective risk management.
  • Develop an effective balance sheet policy including monitoring, risks, and sampling.
  • Build trust and strong working relationships across teams.
  • Become the go-to IFRS technical expert.

Key Skills And Experience

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or ACT qualification.
  • Strong academic background; university and A levels.
  • Minimum 5 years PQE, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective communicator, confident in providing constructive challenge.
  • Experience with SAP is desirable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High integrity, independence, and ability to partner with the business.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.

Our goal is to create one of the UK’s most inclusive organizations—where people can bring their best selves to work every day for good causes.
