Job summary

Skyscanner is seeking a Principal Engineer for Identity & Privacy to shape the technical foundations that earn traveller trust and enable data, AI and product experiences. This senior role sets standards for identity, consent and privacy across web, app, data platforms and services.

You will lead strategy, architecture and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Security and Data Governance to deliver privacy-driven, scalable engineering across our traveller-facing products and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Privacy and data-protection requirements translated into engineering decisions.
• Designed and operated large-scale distributed systems across identity, data platforms or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the long-term vision and roadmap for identity, consent and privacy engineering.
• Lead technical approach to identifiers, consent-aware data processing and privacy controls at scale.
• Align identity and privacy initiatives with product strategy and traveller trust goals.
• Coach teams to deliver simple, scalable, reliable privacy-enabled solutions.
