Job summary

Ebury is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Identity Platform in London. You will lead a high-impact team responsible for authentication, authorisation, and scalable identity services across human, service, and bot identities.

This role combines hands-on coding with people leadership in a hybrid London office setup. You will own platform architecture and design reviews for high-scale systems, collaborate with Product and Design, and drive responsible AI adoption while delivering secure,

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams.
• Experience in fintech or financial services helpful.
• Experience with agile development processes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Hands-on credibility building/operating distributed systems at scale (AWS, event-driven).
• Experience building enterprise Identity/Access Management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Grow the team with coaching and performance management.
• Translate business outcomes into roadmaps and deliver reliably.
• Lead architecture reviews for high-scale event-driven systems on AWS and BigQuery.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Business domains to shape solutions.
• Maintain production-grade stability, CI/CD, testing standards, and observability.
• Integrate responsible AI adoption while owning shipped code.
