Job summary

M&G plc in Stirling is seeking an Identity Technical Specialist to secure, stabilize and simplify identity services. You will split time between day-to-day 3rd line operational support and onboarding applications for SSO into Entra ID, working with teams across Technology and the business.

The role sits in a specialist Security team and offers the chance to modernise identity services while delivering meaningful change that has real impact in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on technical experience in identity operations including Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Experience delivering and supporting SSO integrations in a controlled environment.
• Practical experience with Conditional Access and applying security controls consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear documentation.
• Clear, concise communication and collaborative cross-team working style.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality technical support and operational work across identity and access platforms.
• Lead and deliver SSO onboarding into Entra ID for SaaS, internal and on-premise apps with required identity controls.
• Configure and support identity controls including MFA and least-privilege role assignments.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and contribute to controlled fixes and improvements.
• Carry out routine service activities including configuration updates and health checks.
• Follow established procedures to ensure secure, consistent service operation.
• Maintain clear documentation for tasks, onboarding decisions and service changes.
• Work with colleagues across teams using ServiceNow to manage requests, incidents and changes.
• Identify recurring issues and propose practical enhancements.
