Job summary

Extension Recruitment is seeking an experienced ICT Support Engineer on behalf of a Gateshead-based client. The role focuses on first-line ICT incident and service request handling, delivering high-quality technical support across hardware, software, and network issues.

You will install, configure and maintain PCs, mobile devices, printers and workplace tech, manage user access, and contribute to service improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an ICT Support Engineer or similar technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and network infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English with strong communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage incidents and service requests through the Service Desk system.
• Install, configure, maintain and support PCs, mobile devices, printers and other workplace technology.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network-related issues.
• Perform user administration and access management.
• Maintain ICT asset records, inventories and equipment lifecycle management.
• Support backup processes, data restoration activities and routine system maintenance.
• Analyse service desk trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
