Job summary

Redditch Borough Council is seeking an ICT Project Officer for a fixed-term 12-month assignment based at Town Hall, Redditch. You will oversee the full lifecycle of ICT projects and coordinate with Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council to improve service delivery.

The role requires strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to government policies, with occasional after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering ICT projects end-to-end within a local government context.
• Able to work on own initiative, including evenings and weekends when needed.
• Knowledge of government regulations and information security standards.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and project teams to successful delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of ICT projects and ICT elements of wider business projects.
• Ensure compliance with Council project management standards (e.g. Prince2).
• Deliver high-quality, timely and cost-effective project outcomes.
• Monitor risks and issues, escalating or acting to keep timescales and budgets.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and other councils.
• Continuously improve ICT project processes and procedures.
