Job summary

Bromsgrove District Council is seeking a Project Support Officer to help deliver economic growth, regeneration and community initiatives across Bromsgrove and Redditch. You will work with project teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth, efficient delivery and positive community outcomes.

Key responsibilities include coordinating meetings, maintaining records, supporting procurement and financial processes, and preparing reports for senior managers and partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing administrative support in a busy office environment.
  • Experience organizing meetings, events and activities involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of basic project management principles and administrative processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Educated to Level 3 in a business administration, financial or project management related subject, or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
  • Professional, customer-focused approach with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating projects or programmes.
  • Awareness of procurement procedures, financial administration and project monitoring processes.
  • Experience of supporting economic development, regeneration or community-based projects.
