Job summary

Maldon District Council, in partnership with Essex Shared Services, seeks an ICT professional for its Centralised Services. This full-time role offers hybrid working with an expectation to attend the office one day per week.

You will monitor, maintain and assure the performance, availability and stability of the Council's ICT systems and infrastructure. You will act as a central technical resource between IT projects and IT support, ensuring security, data protection and compliance while

Qualifications

• A strong candidate will hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience with ongoing CPD and technical knowledge across ICT systems.
• Hands-on ICT service delivery experience, with Azure exposure, system monitoring and ITSM practices.
• Experience transitioning projects into BAU and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance, availability and health of ICT systems, infrastructure and services, identifying issues, trends and risks and supporting timely resolution.
• Provide specialist technical support across ICT services, contributing to incident and service recovery as needed.
• Support the transition of IT projects into business-as-usual support with proper handover and documentation.
• Collaborate with IT support and project teams to ensure systems are stable, secure and supportable.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, system records and monitoring information.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, resilience and monitoring arrangements.
