Job summary

Maldon District Council is recruiting for an ICT Centralised Services post, offering hybrid working with attendance in the Maldon office one day per week. The role provides specialist technical support across ICT systems, ensuring performance, security and continuity.

You will liaise between IT projects and support teams and contribute to incident resolution and service improvement. The role requires a relevant degree or equivalent experience, hands-on ICT delivery, and strong communication

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent experience with ongoing CPD and technical knowledge across ICT systems.
• Hands-on experience in ICT service delivery, cloud platforms and ITSM practices.
• Ability to work with IT projects and BAU support, maintaining security standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical support across ICT services by monitoring, maintaining and assuring performance, availability and stability.
• Act as a central technical resource between IT projects and IT support, ensuring smooth transitions to BAU.
• Monitor system performance, alerts and incidents to identify risks and support timely resolution.
• Support BAU ICT services by responding to incidents and problems as needed, adapting to operational demand.
• Provide input to IT projects to ensure systems are stable, secure and compliant with standards.
• Maintain accurate technical records and monitoring information to support service continuity.
• Collaborate with IT support, project teams and suppliers to deliver reliable ICT services.
• Demonstrate professionalism and continuous improvement in service quality.
