Our client, a public sector Constabulary, is looking for an ICT Core Systems Service Manager to join on a permanent basis.
Purpose of the role:
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and decision maker for Records Management System (RMS), leading the User Group. Ensure a unified approach to changing functionality across three integrated systems.
- Represent our client at national, regional, and local meetings to facilitate the development of RMS.
- Collaborate with Minerva delivery teams to align organizational goals and maximize RMS benefits, transforming how the forces work together and share information.
- Engage with specialist RMS system owner meetings to evolve and develop the force relationship around product development.
- Coordinate RMS developments to keep the system updated and fully supportive of operational modes, including managing interfaces across related systems.
- Optimize performance and manage changes effectively, overseeing development within RMS and associated systems, ensuring integration and alignment, especially within the South West Collaboration.
- Prioritize development efforts and work with stakeholders to maximize opportunities.
- Support the RMS service team in issue resolution, functional improvements, and policing activities in line with APP objectives.
Key Tasks include:
- Identify and resolve application issues following agreed procedures, using management software to monitor performance and carry out maintenance tasks.
- Apply ethical data transformation techniques in line with policies, being sensitive to information risks.
- Define and manage scoping, requirements, and prioritization for small-scale changes; assist with complex initiatives, ensuring standards are followed, requirements are well-documented, and traceability is maintained. Manage change requests in line with policy.
- Review requirements and specifications, design test cases, and map outcomes to criteria. Analyze test results, report issues, and identify risks.
Qualifications:
- Desirable: Experience with RMS (Niche), Pronto, and CAD systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Stakeholder and customer engagement experience.
- Ability to manage complex workloads and deliver performance.
- Awareness of GDPR, Data Protection, and Cyber Security.
