Job summary

Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes UK is seeking an IBP Lead for Spine, Robotics & Power Tools. You will translate commercial strategy into robust demand signals, capital plans and inventory decisions, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Global Planning to balance growth, service, inventory and cost.

You will lead IBP alignment meetings, drive digital enablement and continuous improvement, and ensure effective end-to-end supply chain planning as the business evolves toward a standalone

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant field, with minimum 3–5 years planning/S&OP experience.
• Experience leading supply planning for medical devices or similar industries is preferred.
• Strong analytical, digital tools and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain to ensure capital expenditure and inventory decisions support growth priorities, customer commitments and financial targets.
• Lead monthly engagement with field sales teams to build investment plans that are commercially grounded, financially disciplined and netted against under‑utilised assets.
• Convert local investment plans into clear upstream demand signals that are accurately reflected in Global Demand Planning systems.
• Coordinate network capacity planning with UK and EMEA warehouses and kitting branch plants to enable on-time consignment shipments to hospitals in line with agreed investment plans.
• Act as a trusted business partner to the Commercial organisation, ensuring customer and commercial investment needs are planned, prioritised and delivered through the end‑to‑end supply chain.
• Optimise consignment stock levels through deployment planning, supporting inventory reduction, improved utilisation and service reliability.
• Manage the consignment order book proactively, identifying supply gaps early and working with the International Deployment Group to expedite, unblock and resolve issues.
• Drive effective use of consignment sets available in Loaners, UK Kit Build and regional hubs, with particular focus on under‑utilised assets.
• Lead IBP alignment meetings for the business units in scope, creating clear visibility of demand, risks, trade‑offs and decisions required with Business Unit Directors and their teams.
• Champion simplification, digital enablement and continuous improvement, using data, analytics and emerging technology to improve decision quality, visibility and speed.
• Act as a cross‑functional connector across Customer Services, Commercial, Deliver, Finance, Global Planning and Regional Supply Chain, building alignment around shared priorities.
