Job summary

Guardian Jobs is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading SME in Surrey as an IBM iSeries specialist. The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home) and a £60,000 salary.

You will support IBM iSeries, IBM Power Servers and related data centre infrastructure across Azure, VMware and storage platforms. You will design, configure and monitor systems, perform OS and firmware upgrades, conduct DR tests, and manage backups with tools like Commvault, Veeam, Mimix,

Qualifications

• Solid IBMi (IBM iSeries) & IBM Power Servers experience.
• Experience with data centre infrastructure and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficient in networking gear and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and monitor infrastructure components.
• Provide remote data centre support and BAU IT service desk tasks.
• Perform OS upgrades, firmware updates and DR tests.
• Manage storage, backups and hosting services; on-call support.
