Cabot Corporation is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Instrumentation Engineer to ensure safe and compliant electrical/instrumentation work on site. You will perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across process equipment and facilities.

The role requires knowledge of electrical systems, PLC/DCS control, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• HNC in Instrumentation and/or control engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in related industry, chemical or allied industries.
• Completed necessary multi-skilled training to basic levels.

Responsabilités

• Ensures compliance with safe systems of work on site, including Electrical isolations, SafeWork Permits, COSHH, risk assessments, SOPs, audits, housekeeping and behavioural observations.
• Completes complex Electrical and Instrumentation tasks for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, inspection, service and repair of process equipment and related site facilities.
• Completes all planned Electrical and Instrumentation tasks on time as scheduled by the Maintenance planner and logs records in the CMMS.
• Contributes to the identification, development and implementation of maintenance procedures and documents including risk assessments and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Collaborates with Mechanical technicians, Operations, Engineering, Contractors and SHE to achieve tasks.
• During significant maintenance and shutdown activities, provides supervision of contractors and leads small teams to meet work plans safely.
• Assists in troubleshooting and continuously improving site equipment, procedures and practices for safety and reliability.
• Participates in RCA, RCM, LEAN, PHA, PSSR and related studies.
• Supports maintenance of site control systems (DCS, SIS, PLCs, Aspen) and related devices and networks.
• Assists the Maintenance Planner in organising work and ensuring equipment is available when required.
• Assists Storeroom stores control and engineers in specifying equipment and spares; maintains inventory accuracy and cost control.
