Job summary
ALTEN Group is seeking a Junior Electrical Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to join our Nuclear team in the United Kingdom. You will support OT/SCADA/DCS systems, instrumentation and field devices across critical infrastructure projects, contributing to safety and performance in highly regulated environments.
The role offers exposure to cyber security, design validation, commissioning and lifecycle maintenance, with opportunities for professional accreditation and career development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (equivalent military experience accepted).
- Membership of a relevant professional engineering institution or working towards IEng/CEng registration.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support across the full lifecycle of I&C and OT systems from requirements through commissioning and maintenance.
- Assist with design, modification, testing, validation and configuration management of industrial control systems.
- Support operations and maintenance activities to ensure reliability, safety and performance.
- Contribute to compliance with industrial safety, regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and client stakeholders to deliver project objectives.
- Share knowledge and best practices to support continuous improvement within ALTEN and client teams.
