Job summary

ALTEN is hiring an Operational Technology (OT) Engineer in Hartlepool to support the Nuclear sector. You will work on maintenance, configuration control, and cyber resilience of plant OT systems, collaborating with engineering and operations teams to keep systems secure and compliant.

We seek candidates with OT/ICS lifecycle knowledge, UK security clearance eligibility, and 2–5 years’ relevant experience. On-site role with BPSS clearance; provide technical guidance and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Degree in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field.
Eligible for UK security clearance.
Experience with OT/ICS lifecycle concepts and security practices.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for OT systems and cyber security across the full lifecycle (development to in-service).
Support configuration control and system management, including tools, data, and repositories.
Ensure OT security, regulatory compliance and industrial safety in all activities.
Act as a contact for site OT security matters (PCSS, Blue Team).
Maintain OT documentation: plant network diagrams, OT asset registers, security case docs, security operating procedures, cyber incident response processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback and supporting team development.
