Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Network Engineer to design, build, operate and optimize the global network, including backbone, data center, cloud and Edge/CDN. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across compute, storage, databases and delivery systems to drive network innovation and reliability.

Qualifications

• Sufficient knowledge of core network protocols and routing.
• Experience with data center network architectures (e.g., CLOS).
• Hands-on experience with major network devices (Cisco/Arista/Juniper).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to join global on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate and optimize the global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across compute, storage, database, and more to drive network innovation.
• Work with external vendors and ISPs for device and carrier selection, testing, and verification.
• Travel may be required up to 15% - 30% of the time.
