Job summary

TGS International Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our London team, focusing on hyperscale data centre projects. You will manage project costs, ensure contractual compliance, and support cross-functional teams from design through to delivery.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will drive cost control, valuations and CVR, while negotiating with clients and subcontractors to protect margins in a fast-paced, globally oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within construction or project delivery – hyperscale data centre experience is highly desirable.
• Strong contractual knowledge including JCT, NEC, FIDIC or other standard forms of contract.
• Experience in cost control, forecasting, valuations, variations and contract administration.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Excel plus Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Providing commercial support to project teams so projects stay financially controlled, contractually compliant and commercially successful
• Monitoring project costs against budget and identifying risks, opportunities and margin improvements
• Managing variations and scope changes, including preparing quotations, claims and supporting documentation
• Supporting monthly valuations, cost reporting, forecasting and cost/value reconciliation (CVR)
• Administering client contracts and subcontracts in line with contract requirements and company procedures
• Reviewing contract terms and supporting the management of claims, variations and commercial risk
• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants and internal stakeholders
• Working with Commercial, Finance, Legal, Design & Engineering and Operations teams
• Assisting with supplier negotiations and contributing to continuous improvement and commercial best practice
