Job summary

Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk is seeking a Trainer to join the Training Department, reporting to the Training Manager. The role involves delivering shop floor training, coordinating with the Training Manager, and ensuring training records are accurately maintained.

The position operates on a two-week rotating shift pattern (WK1 Mon-Fri, WK2 Tue-Sat, 21:40-07:40) with emphasis on high-quality training and professional communication across Cranswick and agency staff.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a training/administration environment.
• Experience of creating interactive and powerful presentations.
• Ability to problem solve and make effective decisions.
• Knowledge in manufacturing processes.
• Strong ability to self-learning and effective teaching.
• Excellent standard of spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver shop floor/factory training in a timely and high-quality manner.
• Work as a member of the Training Department reporting to the Training Manager.
• Liaise effectively with the Training Department and other teams.
• Input training records into the Training Management System and assist with the annual training plan.
• Demonstrate professionalism and company standards in all communications.
• Formulate and implement training plans for all employees and ensure records are kept for audits.
• Deliver classroom presentations as needed for cover.

Job requirements of a Trainer:
We are looking for a Trainer who is required to work as a member of the Training Department reporting to the Training Manager.

Shift Pattern –WK1: Monday – Friday, WK2 Tuesday-Saturday on a 2 week rotating shift pattern–21:40-07:40

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all employees (Cranswick & Agency) are trained to current specifications and procedures.
• As a Factory Trainer you will be required to work as a member of the Training Department reporting to the Training Manager.
• Effective liaison, team working and interaction with others is fundamental.
• You will be required to ensure that all training records are accurately input into the Training Management System and to assist the Training Manager to deliver the Training Departments annual training plan
• To demonstrate professionalism and company standards in all communications within the department, the site and any external organisations to which we are dealing with
• Ensure that training plans are formulated and implemented for all employees and work with the Factory Training Coordinator to ensure that all paperwork is completed, and records kept for auditing purposes
• To deliver shop floor/factory training in a time sufficient and high-quality manner.
• You will be required to deliver presentations to classroom size groups – in need for cover
