Job summary

Cranswick Country Foods Eye site is recruiting for full-time Machine Technicians to join the production team. The backshift role requires hands-on machine setup, fault-finding and quality checks in a fast-paced environment.

Salary is £15.38 per hour including attendance bonus, with pension contributions and access to wellbeing discounts. On-site parking and canteen facilities are provided at Eye, IP23 8BW.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety required.
• Understanding of risk assessments and safe working procedures.
• Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, run and fault-find on the required machine.
• Conduct label checks at the start, 30 minutes and end times.
• Complete Scale checks (WPL and OCM) at least 4 times per day.
• Ensure that packing and products meet the required specifications.

Shift pattern: These roles will work Monday-Friday from 17.10- 1:40

We are also looking for a FTC machine technician for 3/4 months

Job requirements of Machine Technician:

• To ensure that all packing and products being used are correct to the required specification.
• To start, set up run and fault find on the required machine.
• Conduct label checks at the required timings (start, 30 minutes, end)
• Complete Scale check weights (WPL and OCM) at a minimum frequency of 4 times per day

What you will need:

Level 2 Food Safety

Understanding of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures.

Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.

Basic level of literacy and numeracy skills, being able to understand verbal requests and documentation

Be able to work under pressure in a fast pace environment
