Great news, our award-winning Quarry Kitchen in Dulcote (near Wells) is now hiring for a Hygiene Team Leader position in our Assembly Team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills and progress into a leadership role. The purpose of the role is to ensure team members align with our cultural values and maximize their potential within the business.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver daily team briefings and ensure a great start to each shift.
- Seek and follow up on feedback from the team in a timely manner.
- Lead and manage assigned area, including breaks, labor, and holiday requests.
- Communicate effectively with other Team Leaders and Managers to ensure timely delivery of plans.
- Manage product changeovers to meet standards.
- Complete RTW forms and support rota creation and holiday planning.
- Ensure food quality meets Key Card standards and ingredient specifications.
- Maintain H&S standards through regular walkrounds.
- Contact engineering for breakdowns promptly.
- Ensure activities comply with GMP and 5S standards, including GMP walkrounds.
- Contain and escalate issues affecting production to the shift manager.
- Engage in problem-solving and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage quality assurance and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate job postings and data collation.
- Communicate daily issues and resolve them with relevant personnel.
- Ensure batches are produced according to sequence, cycle times, weights, and efficiency targets.
- Work with trainers to develop training plans and succession plans.
- Complete performance reviews with SMART objectives.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Strong understanding of Health and Food Safety standards.
- Experience in food production.
- Effective communication and engagement skills.
- IT proficiency.
- Understanding of Bigham’s products.
- Ability to adhere to company policies and technical documentation.
- Commitment to health and safety guidelines.
