Job summary

Mach Recruitment Ltd is assisting a successful food manufacturer in the East Midlands in recruiting an experienced Hygiene Manager/Supervisor. You will lead hygiene teams and ensure the function runs smoothly on site, reporting into senior management.

The role includes managing audits, supplier relationships, and equipment planning. The position offers 4 on 4 off shifts (12-hour days) with a competitive salary dependent on experience, plus pension, bonus, and clear career development paths.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Food Safety and Health & Safety required.
• High Risk/ High Care experience beneficial.
• Experience working with Major Retailers.
• Proven Hygiene leadership with track record.
• Experience conducting internal and third party audits.
• Managing a team and reporting KPI's.
• Food manufacturing experience essential.
• Ability to disassemble/reassemble machinery.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

My client, a successful food manufacturer based in the East Midlands area are seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager/ Supervisor, due to the continued expansion within the business.

You will lead Hygiene teams and ensure that the hygiene function operates smoothly on site.

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities

• Training of the hygiene staff
• Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement
• Responsible for Audit schedule
• Dealing with chemical and product suppliers
• A keen interest in the ordering of new equipment, to establish how the hygiene team would be able to operate
• Co-ordinate machinery strip down and deep cleaning
• Budgetary responsibility
