Job summary

Pioneer-Selection-Ltd is seeking a Hygiene Assistant Manager for our FMCG food manufacturing site in Slough. You will lead hygiene teams, drive standards, and support the Hygiene Manager to ensure GMP compliance and audit readiness.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on hygiene experience in FMCG, HACCP Level 3, allergen management, and strong leadership skills to develop supervisors and operatives while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hygiene role within FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Experience supervising hygiene teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience preparing for and supporting external audits including BRC.

HYGIENE ASSISTANT MANAGER

Job Title: Hygiene Assistant Manager

Location: Slough

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000

Shift: 45 Hours per Week – Days Worked Between Monday to Saturday

Job Role of the Hygiene Assistant Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Hygiene Assistant Manager to join a busy and fast-paced FMCG manufacturing site. This role is ideal for a strong hygiene professional who enjoys leading teams, driving standards, and continuously improving hygiene systems within a highly regulated production environment.

You will play a key role in supporting the Hygiene Manager and wider site teams to ensure hygiene standards, GMP compliance, and audit readiness are maintained to the highest standards. The successful candidate will also support the development of hygiene supervisors and operatives while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Hygiene Assistant Manager

• Previous experience within a hygiene role in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising or leading hygiene teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience preparing for and supporting external audits including BRC.

Requirements for the Hygiene Assistant Manager

• Strong understanding of hygiene standards, GMP, and factory compliance.
• HACCP Level 3 qualification.
• Experience managing hygiene schedules, procedures, and validation processes.
• Good understanding of allergen management and hygiene risk assessments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and documentation creation.

Desirable Requirements for the Hygiene Assistant Manager

• Internal auditing experience.
• Knowledge of pest management systems.
• Experience coaching and developing teams.
• Experience working with KPI reporting, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
