Job summary

Greencore Bow in London is seeking a Hygiene Operative on a full-time basis to undertake hygiene tasks, clean equipment, and ensure a safe working environment. The role supports the shift plan with a strong emphasis on health, safety, and environmental compliance, reporting to the Hygiene Manager.

You'll work 4 on, 4 off, 19:00–07:00, at Greencore Bow, contributing to sanitation and quality across our bread, sandwiches, and snack lines. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Proficient in performing general warehouse hygiene duties.
• Strict adherence to written approved procedures for hygiene tasks.
• Promotion of health, safety and environmental awareness within the department.
• Effective reading and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake hygiene tasks including cleaning of equipment and areas to required standard.
• Review equipment and highlight damage, escalate risks to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure chemicals are used and stored correctly.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to correct personnel.
• Follow work instructions and highlight issues to Hygiene Manager.
• Carry out hygiene activities in line with daily requirements to support shift plan.
• Identify opportunities for sustainable quality and performance improvements.

What you'll be doing:

• In this role, you will undertake hygiene tasks including the cleaning of equipment and areas to the required hygiene standard.
• Review equipment and highlight damage, escalating risks to the appropriate personnel
• Ensure that chemicals are used and stored correctly
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to the correct personnel
• Follow work instructions highlighting any issues to the Hygiene Manager
• Carry out hygiene activities when needed in line with daily requirements ensuring operational integrity
• Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department Identify and highlight any opportunities that make sustainable improvements to increase quality, performance in support of the overall shift plan

• Proficient in performing general warehouse hygiene duties
• Strict adherence to written approved procedures for hygiene tasks, with attention to completing logbook entries by company standards
• Promotion of a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness within the department
• Effective communication abilities, both in reading and writing
