Job summary

Greencore at Manton Wood seeks a Hygiene team member to perform routine cleaning, equipment handling, and stock management. You will follow strict hygiene procedures and contribute to safe, compliant site operations.

You must demonstrate attention to detail, effective teamwork, and knowledge of safety standards. The role offers shifts and benefits across a large UK production network.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail with high accuracy and focus.
• Clear communication within a team of Hygiene Operatives.
• Maths and English at Entry Level 3 or above.
• All-round cleaning experience across areas.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage time.
• Good knowledge of health & safety and COSHH requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hygiene tasks as per rota in each area.
• Prepare and be responsible for cleaning equipment used.
• Maintain and replenish stocks of cleaning materials.
• Operate and care for cleaning machinery safely.
• Handle and dispose of cleaning chemicals per guidelines.
• Adhere to GMP and hygiene standards as per MCA/FDA.
• Log books entries as required and keep areas clean.

Job description

Shift pattern- Su,Mo,Tu,Fr 13:00-18:30, Sa 08:30-18:00

Rate of Pay- £14.20 per hour, overtime paid at x1.25 hrs after 48 hours

What you will be doing

Our Hygiene team work to extremely high standards and are integral to the running of Greencore. Some of the tasks involved will be to:

• Carry out all hygiene tasks required by the hygiene rota in each respective area that has been assigned.
• Prepare and be responsible for any cleaning equipment used to carry out hygiene duties
• Maintain, replenish and be accountable for stocks of cleaning materials
• Be fully conversant with the operation and care of any mechanical cleaning equipment used in conjunction with your hygiene duties
• Be fully conversant with the safe preparation, handling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants used in conjunction with your hygiene duties
• Be fully conversant with the requirements of both the MCA and FDA with respect to Good Manufacturing Practice and hygiene standards
• Carry out all hygiene tasks in accordance with written approved procedures ensuring all log books entries (when required) are completed to company standard
• Ensure all areas are kept clean and free of any debris

Some roles in the hygiene team would require you toclean and then re-assemble all removable parts of machinery and depositors in the production area.

• Good communication skills are key - you will work as part of the team including Hygiene Operatives, Steam Clean Operatives and other Strip Down Operatives.

• Be able to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and management team Have good knowledge of H&S and CoSHH
