Job summary

Greencore is recruiting for a full-time Hygiene/Production Cleaner at our Atherstone site. You will strip down machinery for hygiene deep cleaning, ensure safe isolation and documentation, and rebuild equipment after cleaning following safety and operational checks.

Shifts run 5/7 days, 13:00–21:00, with a rate of £15.96 per hour. The role includes training, development opportunities and a range of benefits including pension contributions and life insurance.

Responsibilities

• Safely strip down production and preparation machinery to allow effective hygiene deep cleaning.
• Ensure equipment is safely isolated, locked off and documented in line with company procedures.
• Make all required machine components accessible for the Hygiene Team.
• Communicate effectively with Hygiene, Production and Engineering teams to ensure smooth handovers.
• Correctly rebuild machinery following cleaning and complete safety and operational checks before production resumes.
• Report any damaged, missing or defective parts identified during strip-down or reassembly.
• Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas, ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Complete regular tool checks and maintain accurate records.
• Carry out all duties in line with company safety standards, required timescales and individual training and competence.
