Job summary

Greencore is recruiting a Hygiene Operative for night shifts at our Holbeach St Marks site. You will work as part of a small, focused team to keep production areas clean and compliant with COSHH and PPE requirements.

The role involves deep cleaning, equipment dismantling for thorough sanitisation, and maintaining standards to support audit scores and customer expectations. Training and career development are provided within a large multinational company.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of food safety best practice.
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow SOPs.
• Able to work nights and in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safe and effective use of cleaning chemicals in COSHH compliant manner.
• Strip and clean basic equipment and machinery, report issues promptly.
• Clean dollies, eurobins and equipment through traywash systems.
• Load and operate cardboard bailer/compactor and other cleaning duties.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in production areas.

The site specialises in making chilled pizzas.About the role.We manufacture a wide range of high-quality fresh prepared food. And, although our production lines are fast-paced and high-pressured, our cleaning schedule means that the lines will always stop completely for you to clean them.So, from a full deep clean which will involve taking machinery apart and using chemicals, to routine regular cleans, you’ll keep everything spotless, signed off and maintained to the highest standards.Always ensuring these duties are completed in line with Company policies and standard operating procedures, including PPE, Food Safety, Health and Safety, ‘clean as you go’ and ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’.Hygiene Operative - Nights duties may include:Safe and effective use of cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulationsAble to safely strip and clean basic equipment and machinery, escalating any issues in a timely fashion to the correct individualsCleaning dollies, eurobins and other equipment coming through traywashLoading and operating the cardboard bailer and/or compactorIt can be complicated and physically challenging stuff.
