Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaner to deliver high cleaning standards within a busy food manufacturing site in Carlisle.

You will clean production areas and machinery, remove debris, and follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures; full training will be provided. The role is permanent and full-time, with 40 hours per week and weekend shifts, based at McVitie's in Carlisle.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing is beneficial but not required.
• Full training provided on site.

Job description

We're looking for a Cleaner who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules., We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Hygiene Operative to join our hygiene team within a busy food manufacturing environment.

Key duties include:

• Cleaning production, plant and surrounding areas to a high standard
• Cleaning machinery and equipment in line with agreed hygiene procedures
• Removing product debris, dust and waste
• Completing scheduled and reactive cleaning tasks
• Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
• Following all site Health & Safety, food safety and hygiene procedures
• Reporting any defects, damage or hygiene concerns

Previous experience within food manufacturing or industrial hygiene would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.
