Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Hygiene Operative in Grimsby to deliver routine and periodic cleaning across the site. You will help maintain high standards of hygiene and adhere to SLA requirements, working with cleaning teams and supervisor to ensure cleanliness and safety.
The role involves handling cleaning chemicals, dismantling equipment as needed, and following COSHH procedures. Prior food-manufacturing cleaning experience is helpful but training is provided.

We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to provide excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. The role holder will be responsible for meeting all SLA agreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.
In your new role, you will carry out general Low Risk hygiene tasks including but not limited to washing equipment, walls, floor & overheads, mopping floors, belt cleaning & using scrubbing/sweeping equipment.
We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team to ensure that the highest standards of visual and microbiological hygiene are always maintained across all areas of the site. You will also need to liaise closely with Hygiene Supervisor, working with chemicals and ensure containers are labelled and locked at all times. You will be required to operate cleaning equipment and complete deep sanitation as well as working.
Previous experience as a food manufacturing cleaner is desirable but not compulsory as full training will be provided. You will need to be able to dismantle equipment and machinery, handle and use chemical - subject to passing your COSHH training. IPAF is desirable but not essential.
