Job summary

FBC UK, home to iconic brands, is recruiting a Hygiene Manager for our Blackpool Bakery. You will lead site hygiene activities to ensure facilities meet the highest standards and that hygienic integrity supports product quality.

You will develop cleaning schedules, train staff, manage budgets, and partner with operations, planning and external providers to drive continuous improvement and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Hygiene Manager role, ideally in FMCG.
• IOSH qualification or working towards it.
• Level 3 Food Safety qualification desirable.
• Track record of maintaining high hygiene standards across a site.
• Experience collaborating with third-party service providers.
• Experience working with Health, Safety & Environment teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust cleaning schedules and documentation across the Bakery.
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Hygiene Team and wider Operations teams.
• Collaborate with Operations and Plant Planning to integrate hygiene processes into planning cycles.
• Define and oversee pest control activities to maintain safe, sanitary working conditions.
• Champion hygiene culture and drive continuous improvement in the Bakery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, customer requirements, and certification standards; train new starters.
• Build relationships with hygiene suppliers and contractors and manage the budget within the Technical Department.
