MorePeople seeks a Hygiene Manager to own the hygiene management system across a Lancashire fresh produce business, driving standards, audits and H&S compliance.

You will develop policies, run risk assessments, and work with contractors to embed a hygiene culture across the site. A full UK driving licence is required. This role focuses on proactive hygienic practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in Hygiene/Quality/Health & Safety roles within a food or fresh produce business.
• Audits and risk assessments experience.
• Developing safe systems of work and advising on H&S issues.
• Working with legislation and compliance requirements.
• Using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Leading and developing the hygiene strategy across all divisions.
• Supporting and preparing for external audits.
• Carrying out audits, inspections, risk assessments and surveys.
• Monitoring hygiene KPIs and using data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Working with external contractors and ensuring planned activities are completed.
• Evaluating working practices against hygiene and H&S requirements.
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures.
• Using analytics and behavioural trends to drive improvements.
• Collaborating with departments to embed a strong hygiene culture.
• Helping reduce H&S incidents and identifying potential risks.
• Providing guidance on hygiene and H&S matters.
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
