About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hygiene & Cleaning Team Leader at Dishpatch, reporting to the Operations and Production Manager. Dishpatch, recently acquired by Waitrose & Partners, is a meal-kit delivery service offering restaurant-quality dishes prepared by top UK chefs. Customers can choose from over 30 menus delivered nationally on Fridays, with dishes designed for easy finishing at home.

• Salary: £15.24 GBP per hour
• Contract type: Permanent
• Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week, onsite at Dishpatch HQ
• Location: North Greenwich

Key responsibilities

Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant environment by managing cleaning schedules, supervising the hygiene team, overseeing chemical management, conducting inspections, and maintaining health and safety standards. Collaborate with management on operational priorities.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas, including warehouses and external spaces.
• Perform cleaning duties as part of the rota alongside the team.
• Ensure periodic deep cleaning of critical areas.
• Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
• Report and resolve site defects or maintenance issues.
• Manage chemical inventory and ensure safe storage and usage.
• Lead and supervise the hygiene team, developing schedules for effective coverage.
• Uphold food, health, and safety protocols, performing audits and checks.
• Report on cleanliness, inventory, team performance, and inspections.
• Work with the Operations Manager to address operational issues.
