Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a reliable Hygiene Chargehand to support our hygiene operation in a busy food manufacturing environment.

You will supervise the hygiene team on shift, allocate tasks, and ensure cleaning schedules meet required standards while maintaining safety and hygiene procedures. The role involves performing hygiene inspections, training operatives, completing documentation, and collaborating with management to uphold the highest hygiene standards, with a hands-on leadership

• Supporting and supervising the hygiene team during the shift
• Allocating and checking daily cleaning tasks
• Ensuring cleaning schedules are completed to the required standard
• Carrying out hygiene inspections and escalating any issues
• Ensuring safe working practices and site procedures are followed
• Supporting training and development of hygiene operatives
• Completing relevant cleaning and compliance documentation
• Working closely with the management team to deliver excellent hygiene standards

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Hygiene Chargehand to support our hygiene operation within a busy food manufacturing environment. Working Monday to Friday, you will support the Hygiene Management Team with the day-to-day supervision of the hygiene team, helping to ensure cleaning standards, safety requirements and hygiene procedures are consistently maintained.,

• Supporting and supervising the hygiene team during the shift
• Allocating and checking daily cleaning tasks
• Ensuring cleaning schedules are completed to the required standard
• Carrying out hygiene inspections and escalating any issues
• Ensuring safe working practices and site procedures are followed
• Supporting training and development of hygiene operatives
• Completing relevant cleaning and compliance documentation
• Working closely with the management team to deliver excellent hygiene standards
  We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised, confident leading a team and happy to take a hands-on approach. Previous experience within industrial hygiene, cleaning or food manufacturing would be advantageous.
