Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Hydrologist to join our Water Consultancy due to growing climate and water challenges across the UK. You will contribute to hydrology, hydrogeology, modelling, climate resilience, and related disciplines within a dynamic, supportive team.

Based in the UK, you will work on projects for major water clients, with opportunities for career progression, mentoring, and flexible working in a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

Degree in hydrology, geography, mathematics, civil engineering, or related field.
Knowledge of low flows hydrology and rainfall-runoff modelling.
Ability to apply UKCP18/CMIP projections to climate impact assessments.
Willingness to innovate.
Excellent communication and written skills.

Responsibilities

Low flow assessments and water systems modelling.
Estimate changes in climate variables using projections.
Conduct flood hydrology studies considering climate change.
Carry out hydropower feasibility studies and design floods.
Perform climate change risk assessments of assets.
