Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an ambitious hydrogeologist to join the Groundwater & Geothermal Team in the UK. The role covers groundwater resources, dewatering, contaminant hydrogeology, and geothermal development, with both office and site work.

Travel across Britain and Ireland, with flexible hybrid working arrangements, is expected. You will work under the supervision of senior staff, taking on defined work packages, developing project management and client communication skills within a growing

Qualifications

Honours degree in geology or related discipline with hydrogeology experience.
Practical fieldwork and investigation experience.
Strong data analysis and report writing skills.
Knowledge of UK and/or Irish groundwater regulation and licensing.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, procure, supervise and manage groundwater and geothermal investigations, desk studies, and risk assessments.
Lead field activities such as groundwater monitoring, borehole drilling and pumping tests.
Analyse, interpret and report groundwater data with clear reports, notes and drawings.
Use GIS and digital tools; support permit/licence applications.
Help manage project setup, budgets, programmes, and client relationships, plus bids.
