Job summary

H-Power is a UK-based clean energy company delivering zero-emissions hydrogen power systems for on-site generation. We are seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission and support deployments across the UK and abroad, with time spent at our Surrey facility preparing systems for deployment.

The role requires hands-on engineering with an electrical bias, strong fault-finding skills, and excellent communication to work with customers and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Field Service, Deployment, Commissioning or Installation role would be highly advantageous.
• Hands-on engineering background with an electrical bias preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, operate and remove hydrogen fuel cell systems at customer sites across the UK and internationally.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and technical support on deployed equipment.
• Coordinate the loading, transportation and positioning of deployment equipment in accordance with site and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare hydrogen fuel cell systems and associated equipment for field deployment.
• Complete deployment documentation including installation records, checklists, RAMS and service reports.
• Work closely with engineering teams to investigate and resolve technical issues identified in the field.
• Carry out customer site surveys to assess future deployment opportunities.
• Support customer training and maintain a professional, customer-focused approach at all times.
• Monitor deployed systems, collect operational data and contribute to continuous product improvement.
• Ensure all deployment activities comply with company procedures, health & safety standards and relevant site regulations.
