Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd in the Scottish Highlands is seeking a Project Director to take full ownership of a landmark hydro-electric scheme, guiding delivery from strategic planning through to completion. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and joint venture partners, ensuring safety, programme, budget, and quality targets are met.

This senior site-based role requires exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and a clear delivery strategy on a high-profile, nationally important project.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status (or equivalent) preferred.
• Extensive experience (typically 20+ years) delivering major infrastructure or construction projects in the UK.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex programmes in the UK.
• Strong leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary and multi-organisational teams.
• Deep understanding of commercial, contractual, and delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for the safe design and construction of the project, ensuring a safety-first culture.
• Develop and lead the overall project delivery strategy from pre-construction through completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered to budget, programme, and quality targets.
• Plan and manage resources, overheads, and operational performance to meet objectives.
• Lead, inspire, and develop high-performing project teams across all disciplines.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, joint venture partners, and key stakeholders.
• Represent the organisation at senior level, acting as the primary leadership and decision-making point.
• Oversee recruitment, team development, and succession planning within the project.
• Drive collaboration and integrated working across all project partners.
