Job summary

Hydromarque, based in Peterborough, is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer to manage technical enquiries and develop practical hydraulic solutions from first contact to clear quotations and proposals.

You will own applications, liaise with customers and colleagues, and ensure accurate tenders within a supportive, autonomous team. Training and a clear progression path are offered within the WTR Group.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in hydraulics or a closely related environment.
• A sound understanding of applications, systems and translating customer problems into practical solutions.
• A naturally analytical and inquisitive mind; comfortable unpacking complexity.

Responsibilities

• Handle technical enquiries by phone and email to uncover the real requirement.
• In-depth understanding of hydraulic systems analyses.
• Foster customer relations with sound engineering advice.
• Review applications and select suitable pumps, systems and equipment.
• Prepare accurate quotations, tenders and technical proposals.
• Guide customers through options and add value beyond selling.
• Own applications, projects and the Hydromarque customer experience.
• Collaborate with colleagues, suppliers and the WTR Group.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and service.
