Hydromarque, based in Peterborough, seeks a Graduate Applications Engineer to learn the applications-engineering process from experienced colleagues. You will develop skills to understand customer needs, ask pertinent questions, and select suitable pumps and equipment while preparing quotations and professional emails.

For the first months, the focus is on induction and learning, with progression to handling straightforward enquiries by around six months.

• Degree or graduate-level capability in Maths and English.
• Practical analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Inquisitive mind and confidence to ask questions when you do not know the answer.
• Clear spoken communication and professional written English.
• Good Excel skills and general computer literacy.
• Mechanical aptitude or genuine interest in how equipment and systems work.
• Proactive, adaptable and team-focused attitude.

Mansioni

• Understand what the customer is really trying to achieve and gather the technical detail needed to assess an application.
• Select suitable pumps, systems and associated equipment.
• Prepare quotations, tenders and professional customer emails.
• Use Hydromarque's product information and internal systems accurately.
• Support technical enquiries by phone and email; take increasing ownership of applications and customer relationships as knowledge grows.
