Hydromarque is seeking a Graduate Applications Engineer for its Peterborough office. You will learn how to interpret customer needs, gather technical details, and select pumps and systems. The role focuses on training and development, with increasing ownership of enquiries and relationships as knowledge grows.

The position is office-based with potential site visits as you progress. A structured career path is offered, including mentoring and opportunities to grow into more senior applications

Qualifications

• Degree or graduate-level capability with a solid foundation in Maths and English.
• Analytical approach to problem-solving and good numerical skills.
• Clear spoken communication and professional written English.
• Good Excel skills and general computer literacy.
• Mechanical aptitude or genuine interest in how equipment works.
• Proactive, adaptable and team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Learn the applications-engineering process from experienced colleagues.
• Understand what a customer is really trying to achieve and gather technical details.
• Select suitable pumps, systems and related equipment.
• Prepare quotations, tenders and professional emails.
• Use Hydromarque product information and internal systems accurately.
• Support technical enquiries by phone and email and grow ownership of customer relationships.
