Job summary
Stantec in the UK is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to join our growing team across Reading, Brighton, Leeds, Edinburgh or Warrington. You will work on nationally significant water and wastewater projects, developing hydraulic modelling and analysis skills alongside experienced specialists.
You'll contribute to resilient, sustainable infrastructure, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and progress toward chartered status while enjoying hybrid working and a supportive development culture.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering required.
- Interest in hydraulic engineering and UK water sector demonstrated.
- Understanding of fluid mechanics and hydraulic principles desired.
- Experience with hydraulic modelling tools is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of hydraulic studies and technical assessments.
- Develop and analyse hydraulic models with specialist software.
- Assist with steady state and transient analyses and pumping system assessments.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders.
- Support site investigations and project delivery activities.
- Develop technical capability through mentoring and hands-on project work.
