AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior Vertical Transportation Engineer to lead the design and specification of lifts and escalators for commercial, residential and mixed-use schemes across the UK. You’ll coordinate with architects, structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams, review submissions, and guide delivery teams locally and remotely within our Buildings & Places practice.

The role requires engineering qualifications with lift/esc experience, knowledge of UK standards (CIBSE, EN81, BS EN

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent lift/esc experience.
• Experience in vertical transportation design across building types.
• Knowledge of UK regulations and standards (CIBSE D, EN 81, EN 115).

Responsibilities

• Lead VT system design and specifications for projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
• Review contractor submissions and provide technical guidance.
