Job summary

City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a motivated Valuation Officer to join our Estates Team within the City Assets service. You will provide professional valuation and estate management services across the Council’s property portfolio, assisting with transactions and valuations for a range of purposes as part of the asset management plan.

The role requires MRICS qualification, and offers a hybrid working pattern with 37 hours per week. Salary ranges from £45,529 to £50,908 (Grade 7).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Undertake valuations in accordance with RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book).
• Assist with property transactions including acquisitions, disposals, and lease renewals.
• Provide advice on landlord and tenant matters.
• Support the delivery of the Council’s disposal programme.
• Maintain accurate property records and tenancy schedules.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
