Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking experienced Programme Managers to lead and deliver strategic, cross‑cutting transformation programmes across the transformation lifecycle. These programmes may include initiatives across Customer Services, Transport, and Workplace Transformation, or the redesign of Housing, Children's Services and Adult Social Care.

You will provide strong leadership, governance and line/matrix management to project managers, work with senior stakeholders, and deputise for the

Qualifications

Proven expertise in programme management with recognised methodologies.
Leadership experience to inspire teams and resolve complex challenges.
Professional qualifications or equivalent experience in programme/change management.
Track record of managing complex stakeholders and resources to deliver high-impact organisational change.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver strategic cross-cutting programmes across the transformation lifecycle.
Govern programmes to ensure successful delivery with senior stakeholders.
Provide line and matrix management to project managers.
Deputise for Head of Service when required.
