Job summary

Leonardo DRS is hiring a Test Engineer in a hybrid London setup. You will join Agile teams to provide high-quality testing for our engineering efforts and collaborate with developers and the product owner to understand the system under test.

The role requires a minimum of three years as a tester, strong testing skills, Linux experience, and proficiency with Jira/Xray, with clear communication and a security-conscious mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience as a tester.
• Ability to write efficient and effective manual tests.
• Strong interest in the technical side of information technology and software development.
• Working knowledge of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions.
• Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira and Xray.
• Comfortable using command line tools.
• Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• STEM degree or equivalent qualifications.
• Demonstrable experience with networking.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and CVE best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work in Agile development teams as a Test Engineer.
• Provide high-quality testing services to the engineering team.
• Work closely with developers and the product owner.
• Develop a deep understanding of the product and system under test.
• Design, write, and maintain automated and manual test cases.
• Execute test plans including scripted, exploratory, regression, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Participate actively in Agile processes such as sprint planning and reviews.
• Evaluate test results, document defects, and report status to the team.
